Greetings! My name is Lauren Funk (as you can tell by every other page on this website), I use this site as documentation of my development as a designer, as well as networking and establishing career driven contacts. I am currently working in the architecture and design field with over three years experience, and graduated from the Interior Architecture program at Ohio University in May 2014.

The competitive sport of swimming has been a constant in my life since a young age and has granted me many lessons and opportunities. After competing four years for the Division I swimming program at Ohio, I am very thankful for the experiences and skills learned that have helped me grow and mature as an adult. The discipline needed for swimming has made me a better student, athlete, and designer in all aspects. I have acquired the expertise of time management, have become a fast learner and have the ability to perform under pressure.

The summer of 2013 I had the amazing opportunity of studying abroad with the Interior Architecture program at Ohio University. Living in Rome, Italy for one month and traveling throughout Europe the three weeks following gave me a great insight to the world and the different ways of living. This trip was documented in both hand drawings along with photography which can be found under the "Photography" page. Not only did I learn a great deal from this trip, but also I will bring this experience and insight to my future work.

The images represented on this site are pieces of work that I have created through the instruction of the Professors in the Interior Architecture program in various design studios. As I continue to grow as a designer I intend to reflect back on this site for inspiration and to remind myself of how far I’ve come.
